Poem
In a sudden, I felt immerse with a power beyond my understanding Awash with a newfound strength I might hope in rendering In the meantime, shadows from the piled skeletons around were coming to life And from the enormity of the dead, how much of the minions are imaginable to arise? An indescribable stench has already began to stale the air A retching gorge is all there is to feel upon this up-heaving blair Before long, Alkaiya was already darting arrows by the quiver And from each shot, came the inhuman shrieks echoing thereafter With a will of its own, my sword began lashing out its fatality Every blow promising a kill beyond any state of brutality More and more, they gather amongst like an unsettling shadow Meaning to slaughter without much of a heart to truly follow Yet, every critical strike were parried or defended in despite My gratitude to either Alkaiya or the sword to aid me this night Pretty soon, the hundreds before were already narrowing down Till finally, the very last of the minions were slain to the ground Overwhelm by relief, we made certain there is to be none still alive Though barely able to catch our breath as well, we did survive! Striding then to find ourselves for perhaps a safe settling to hide We heard from a distance, a horn being blown into the night Crucified, I could have sworn my blood was chilled to the bone Yet I felt drawn to the resonance by a will not of my own Alkaiya was immediately beckoning me to hurriedly move along Jerking me from my disorientation before my soul is to begone} “Sir Knight, hear naught the horn from the disclosing distant For it belong the echoes of the Leech-King be listened We ought to continue forth to find shelter from death To discern what lies behind, to concern of time that was theft The horns of the King… when its heard from when its blown Is the welcoming of death when its life never to own The horn symbolizes the institution of the Leech hunt And with you still unfamiliar, its only wise to continue our run And to truly be wholesome once more, must you seek the Goddess of Word To answer to the call and be known of your presence to be heard I cannot give words to the terror the Leech-King can unleash To only say when its the demon to encounter, its of death to wish These forested growths should be able to provide shelter for the night For time is soon where the chase is to cease from first light
