He told a story, it was about you
Though his words did not sound true
Your reputation, however, people will misconstrue
If you do not act to disprove
The venomous lies he spat
That wretched old rat
Blinder than a bat
That will not earn a sniff from a cat
Yet there he sat
His voice very loud in the shade of a night cloud
His features under the light old 
With his voice vibrating with the night’s cold
His skin dried and withered
And with each word his bones shivered
Yet there he sat
That wretched old rat
Convincingly playing his part
Through to the end from start
Spewing blasphemy his way
Not caring whether night or day
Even his best friends he will betray
For the least silver any man can pay
That wretched old rat
Blinder than a bat
Not altogether smart
In fact, unforgivably daft
Gorging filth out of his mouth
Around the world north east west and south
His lies bringing empires to naught
Turning domestic arguments into international bouts 
That wretched old rat
That will not earn a sniff from a cat
Spinning deceit into the past
With every breath till his last
Exaggerating every simple error
Consciously creating terror
That wretched old rat
Don’t dare set him a trap
Cos a miss will earn you a verbal slap
In fact, they will flow like a broken tap
That wretched old rat
Blinder than a bat
That will not earn a sniff from a cat
His time soon will come
