Has Anybody Told You!

Has anybody told you just how beautiful you are?
When you went to school did you shine just like a star?
Then as you reach those teenage years
almost ready to leave school, did you think it would be easier
without your teachers rules.

Did anyone ever tell you just how frustrating life can be
with difficult decisions , like what your career might be.
And did anyone ever tell you as you develop and quickly grow
of life's complications and things you don't yet know.
Life is full of ups and downs, life is filled with all that stuff.
And just as you think you've conquered it, you go and fall in love.

But listen to your mother, she's wise beyond your years,
that soon enough you'll become a mum with different kinds of fears.
As your baby's growing and you nurture him through life
your not just a baby's mother but also daddy's wife.
Then through the years and as you grow old
and remember memories  as you rest.
You'll remember just like your mother did.
You did your very best.
