Poem
We know Jesus is coming soon, When events change the world map; When we stare at the sun and moon Every day, keeping on looking up, Into the blue skies dotted with stars As we wonder at nature’s scars; The rolling of days and hours, As the world’s history winds up! With clear voice, signs of the times, They not only speak every morning; But they even shout at times As they give the world a warning, Pointing to the Bible prophecy With sincerity and divine accuracy Coupled with the sense of urgency Giving all signals with rhymes. There is no chance, no guesswork; No breakdown, no delay, No regret; no slight mistake In the midnight or midday. God does His “thing” perfectly well! His sure promises will never fail But will always ring the right bell, Preparing His people for that day. Now open your eyes and see; Set up your own ears and hear The sound of a roaring rough sea Or the voice of a dying volunteer. Watch TV and listen to the radio, Read books and papers, watch video. Be studious in your study studio. Surf the Internet without any fear. Now, what do you see; what do you read? Do you see only a promising wink? Is there true love and peace indeed? Do you see enough bread and drink? Are you sensing life and glee every day? Or horrific wars and death and decay? Would you say the world is OK? Honestly, is that what you think? Now observe it from the social standpoint Or religious or political point of view. Does it seem to encourage or disappoint? When you conducted that interview With sociologists and medical doctors, Famous statesmen and administrators; Prolific authors, poets and chief editors, From the world over, both old and new, Did they show you a permanent solution To stop hunger and rape and poverty? Injustice and HIV/AIDS and abortion? Global warming, terrorism, and immorality? Did they succeed to prevent genocide, And the Satanic hatred hidden inside, And eradicate sinful acts worldwide? “No,” is your answer to each question! Then what do all these mean to you? Could it be that these are the last days, Predicted by the Lord Jesus Christ, Warning us against Satan’s evil ways? Could it be that God wants us to be ready For the Second Coming of Christ into the world? Could it be He’s warning us to escape, The coming wrath to make better choices? Should He come today, this very hour. Would you fly to meet Him in the air? Are you ready to live with Him forever In His kingdom prepared for the blest? Have you accepted Him as your Savior? Is He the Lord of your life every day? Are your sins forgiven and washed away? Are you sure you are right with God? Be ready to meet the soon-returning King!
