Poem

The fire in my heart burns brighter
Every night when the cricket chirp
And I fear it will blaze me down.
My whole life turns to ashes.

The passion inside of me is cannabis.
My love for you is ever increasing,
And I fear it will sustain.

My mind sees the face of you,
Trying to look for certainty.
My heart hears a thousand drum rolls
Yet it knows it is a jeremiad.
I fail to comprehend my perseverance 
Of how can I do so much more?
Continuance in a state of grace to the end,
Leading to eternal salvation.

Is it you I search in you, or
Is it just me?
Your love has corrupted my heart,
Or was it my love that destroyed me.

Night when I still can't scream,
My soul transcends immensely 
Into the darkness, I pull myself,
Looking for your reflection,
I am stuck in a well.

Flames and fire is oozing out,
Making my heart colder.
None of the whiskeys or smoke,
Could let go of you.
All your blames and pretension,
When stab me and choke me,
All I look for is your heart,
Which I named home.

My life lacks rhyme and rhythm
Without you is void,
You have brought me to this
Eternal turmoil,

I wish I could just end.
Take away all your pain and love,
It gets harder day by day
While you live, you leave me to decay.

One day I dream, the pain will end
And I can only hate,
But until then when my heart gets pierced by your thorny cage of love,
All my dismay smiles at my fate.
