Tumbleweeds that weigh one thousand pounds
Roll easier off the tongue than off the cliff
Reach high to find what's up with iron
Then leave the plains behind
Venture over marshmallow mountain roads

One thousand miles from here where clouds reside
Made of pure titanium, dressed up in dynamite
Rusty pink thinking lifts heavy thoughts on pillows
About the mighty tumbleweeds
While babies sleeping

Lighter than pure matter, heavier than air
Infant readings in science magazines continue
On a floating leaf of paper
To place a fine point on something smaller
Than a lead pencil that comes in number two

To stop matter in its tracks easier than that
With an eraser too cute to savor in the mouth
At a cost of a mere quarter at the grocery store
Purchased just up the road where products gather
In quiet isles with little drama since they don't move
Like tumbleweeds do

They stay in one place, go to another, as they should
Or so we are told about gravity, clarity and thinking
Babies reading science magazines agree on matters
Lighter than pure titanium, heavier than the air

Reading material goes left at the imagination
There is nothing there to know about rolling
Or drawing conclusions outside the margins
That babies don't already know about sleeping
About tumbleweeds and titanium in their dreams
