Finding 'Me' in 'me'...!

Being human is more demanding than ever imagined;
well within reach with attempt that is determined!

Under the name of honour and cloak of secrecy,
we hide all our deeds and along with it - our fallacy!

Where are we trying to run while on our toes?
Its moment after moment in peril as time mows!

Since the time man denied the calf it's milk,
he is on a rampage to grab all around - yet sulk!

Digs mines for minerals and sucks air in for gases;
pours garbage and effluents, betraying the masses!

Can we take time and allow reality to sink deep in!
it is thoughtless act and counteract that threaten!

Altruistic appeal in thoughts 'n' words while proposed,
left to fend for itself when acts and deeds are disposed!

Conscience does momentarily prick in an attempt to check;
but, having ignored it time and again, now it is in a wreck!

From one to another and from time to time in aeon,
why don't we realise the juggling that happens within!

We credit our mind and intellect for that juggling,
without a thought on its status that is so fledgling.

Soon we surrender to the meek state of destitute;
when it is time to pore deeper for the real and the absolute!

We need to go back to our basics to find our source;
and chart a path to recourse for us to further repose!

Which better man am I going to better?
At the end of which I find yet another to feel bitter!

Tired of looking for an anchor in the restless sea,
when all I need to do is to just find 'Me' in only in this 'me'!
