Poem
I felt as though I have been stranded in America
for  more than a century
wearing the same old clothes on my  battered back 
wearing  threadbare shoes on my tired feet
singing the same old  miserable tunes
fighting the same old  vicious demons 
going around the same  old malignant circle
scrambling in the same   filthy garbage  for food
and hearing the same disdained voices shouting in the street.

It started centuries ago when a man named Abraham Lincoln 
who perhaps has never left America's shore
yet his determined spirit  traveled across the Caribbean sea
and took up residences underneath the cellar of our house.
Yes the spirit of a dead man lived beneath our house and he was Abraham Lincoln.

I was only ten but the image of  a bone faced,
beard-faced white man wearing white shirt and black jacket 
with a stiff black bow tie laying flat on his upper chest
lived with me as a child and appeared every single night in my dream.
Every morning when I wake up I used to crawl underneath the cellar to see if he was there but only at nights he would appear.

What have I do with this aged old  American history
What have I to do with these  milk faced people of the past
Perhaps it was  the British or maybe the Germans or even the French that brought him there.

I wasn't around back then but everyday this mystery is unfolding distinctly in front of my eyes. And would the Greek Gods or the Christian Gods clash  to show a  sign of mercy and lift me out of  this continuous misery?

And what about the Egyptian Gods and Goddesses? 
would they sign a petition on my behalf to still the vengeance of the battered past and restore balance to  the cosmos or are they participants of this primitive saga?

And what of  the controversial  Emperor Constantine who repented on his death bed and ordered the building of Jesus tomb?
And the viscous  religious  tyrant Pope George
who murdered millions during the catholic inquisition and the great crusade
to protect the greatest secret of the christian  church and eradicated anyone who challenged or questioned their power

And what of JK Kennedy ,Isaac Newton, Leonardo Da Vinci and Michelangelo what did they see? An apple falling from a tree?
naked men walking about in bushes
or the true source of human power?

I am stranded in America 
bounded by this ancient chronicle
My soul is torn and I can see it clearly
Please  come and rescue me .
