Poem
Once upon a time, In the depths of my mind, I was transported. Alone in a barren valley, Desolate and bare, No visible life. I look up through the heat haze, Gasp at arid air, Search the horizon. On top of a rocky crag I see an old man, Sitting as if in prayer. From his person he takes a pipe, Begins to play a mesmeric tune Enticing me closer. Inside my hidden world Are problems and secrets, All is black. Floating from the pipe are sparks of red, Physically motivating me, Moving me forward. Following red, orange, Radiating warmth into my despair, I begin to feel optimistic. I get closer. The man plays, Seducing me with the sound. Now yellow emerges, My thoughts awaken, I'm becoming inquisitive. Green brings with it peace, I'm feeling reborn, Ready to grow. Blue arrives giving me confidence, Loyalty and honesty. I begin my communication. Indigo opens up my mind, I'm blessed with intuition. God is speaking to me. I sit with the old man, See the sincerity in his brown eyes. His solidness comforts me. Violet emanates around us both, My body and soul Are as one. I can feel love, taste love, I know I'm loved unconditionally. I sit in a pink mist. Everything disappears. I'm blinded by white. The perfect music plays on. I feel complete. Slowly the white changes. Through silver I stare into my past, My direction has changed, I'm going through new doors. As if the heavens opened I'm illuminated in gold, Filling my soul with wisdom. I am rich. The old man plays on. I sit with him looking at the barren land, Beautifully emblazoned with the healing colours of life.
