Poem
are you fed up and frustrated with some aspects of life?
with  those things and people that only seem to bring you sorrow and strife
we've done too much spending on style, form and fashion
not enough fabric in our lives with little satisfaction
we've done too much cramming and still feel unfulfilled
life is a vanity of vanities, it's become a bitter pill
we have taller buildings but shorter tempers,
wider freeways but narrower points of views
bigger houses but weaker families, 
more gadgets but less time in which to use
we have more knowledge but less wisdom, 
more degrees but less common sense
more medicine but less wellness, 
more money but greater debt and expense
we've learned how to make a living but not how to make a life
we now need two incomes yet can't find a good husband or wife
we've traveled to the moon yet can't seem to cross the street
to show some Christian compassion to the neighbors that we meet

futility, banality, motion without meaning
less substance in life is all that we seem to be gleaning
superficiality, all glitz,  glamour and glitter
the same old same old that has got you bitter
yet people will try to impose on you their own expressions
about how you should look and act according to their impression
it's not about man's window dressing  
that our God finds impressing
fed up and frustrated living a life of quiet desperation
but God has a meal that you should be ingesting

Jesus fed five thousand plus with 2 fish and 5 loaves
the Pharisees were amazed to see the people whom came out in droves
they were all looking for a miracle, seeking some kind of sign
too blind to see that a miracle had already happened before their eyes
and after He fed their bellies, He then fed them the Word
He told them parables and pearls of wisdom the likes of which they had never heard
yes God has a meal for you on which you should sup
the daily bread, the good news that will fulfill your spiritual cup
don't worry about the right image, the right job or the right car
feed on the word of God for it will take you very far

if you understand that in this world you have little or no control
and that life is just a little too much for you to handle all on your own
trust in the Lord and to Him acquiesce
feed on His word so that your testimony can progress
now spiritually fed up and no longer frustrated with your life
full of the wisdom and the bread that is the Lord Jesus Christ
