Poem
Once upon a time in a desert dry and bare Lived a little bunny known as a common hare He loved his mama with her little wiggly nose And her soft furry ears with tiny little toes Now he learned to nibble at the grass and the weeds Sometimes he came across some mighty tasty seeds Often he would think that there might be something more If he could leave this desert through some magic door He dreamed of many things that he had never seen A radish, a carrot, and lettuce in between It was just a dream and he knew it after all Deserts have no hidden doors through some magic wall Then he saw a cave he had never seen before Fast he ran to see whether this could be the door He hopped inside to find it cool - so cool, oh my! Sunbeams lit a huge garden 'neath a clear blue sky The sound of water flowing soothed his eager mind Fairies flew to and fro with others of their kind One beckoned with a smile and said, " fear not - come near" As he began to hop, he laughed that he was here He was given a welcome as one who believed That dreams come true and dreamers need not be deceived So he ate from the garden and slept by the stream And learned that things are sometimes truly what they seem His mama laughed when he told her where he had been And marveled at the tales that little bunnies spin Then she took his present and looked inside to see A radish and a carrot and a black eyed pea So this bunny in a desert so dry and bare Changed the way the whole world looked at a common hare Dreams can change just who we are and the way we live Fairies fly without doubt and have good things to give 1/31/2017
