Poem
What sounded like a woman's scream got me scrambling for the door, I raced to save my cat at dawn so she could live some more. The chilling woman's wails were really that of a hungry fox, I hadn't put my shoes on yet only my dirty socks. My shoulder hit the door frame as I launched out into space, I crashed down in the back yard with my right foot out of place. To the noisy scene I darted and a small fox scurried off in a line, Jolting pain replaced my foot as my stunned cat's eyes met mine. She didn't seem to care at all as I hobbled and whimpered and made my way, Something was clearly on her mind, if she could speak I think she'd say, "What on earth were you thinking? That small fox was mine to eat! But, no, you engaged in bafoonery and tripped over your own two feet." Apperantly the fox pup had been howling out of fright, By now my bulbous foot throbbed and my head was feeling light. With two bones broken and my ankle severly sprained, The rosy color from my face had nearly all been drained. Two crutches, one surgery and four months later from that day, My right foot felt the ground again, I think the cat did say. "Remember now, you can finally walk again, don't mess about like you do, If you hear some screaming, just wait, and I will come save you."
