As the flow persists, my face drowns
I do not know - my words hurt most
Refusing to let lie, perseverance goading
The distance I see, my eyes succumb to darkness
Previously defeated, now buried in dread. 

Every accomplishment would I deny, to return
Your hand, a prestige ungranted by an award
Skin to skin, a dream not afforded
We could have been, but my pride arose
A regret I could not forget, to allow a forward. 

A head of pain, a mouth unwilling
Substances do I consume, to escape my sorrows
The moment they cater, the day imposed
Decay inside, does no one notice
My pretense, saves explanations. 

A hope that hate is untrue, is held
No response, does intimidate
A chance I chase still, my legs knowing
Failure is bound, the loneliness is my keep
Your image, an irresistible ache. 

Through an inspiration, had betterment begun
The more the inscriptions, the more my heart radiated
Ink had it created a bond, known only to me 
A love I had found, for art that releases
Let go would I, to the promise of us being...
