Poem
Those days when it was just you and I You was the only one I caught feelings for The angel in my heart and the apple of my eye And a precious diamond that I couldn't ignore We was the perfect two living out our dream All was fine and we'd last forever it would seem But who would've guess that it was all a lie When I found out that your heart also loved another I tried my best to be strong but I wanted to cry Showed her the finer things and treated her like no other A queen and poured out my heart to show it was real Even wrote poetry to express to you how I feel I didn't care about anyone else because I loved you But in the end looking back at what we've been through Days fighting trying to show I care is now lost And in the end heartache and heartbreak was the cost Things feel so different as I know I did the best that I could Slowly I try to drift away but she crawls back slowly as she would The other man is a player and she calls out missing me Part of me just wants to turn the other way and say let it be But the other half still loves her and needs her again To stop the nightmare and cease the lasting pain Chance after chance I let her back in my world To in the end wind up being left bitter and cold Is it wrong if I said a part of me still cares about her Because when we started out she was perfect like no other She only loved me and all she saw was a way to be free Treated like a queen and a passion full of gold she would see As hard as I tell myself I don't love her I know I'm wrong Because she was the peace I needed to be so strong All the memories I try to burn but can't light the match For my heart and soul still need her and are so attach To those days when we was perfect together And my sunlight to protect me from the dark weather As she crawls back again begging me to talk to her again The scars and the bruises of the past still remain Which half should I choose if you was me Talk to her again or like a ghost disappear and leave her be
