Poem
It snowed last night and outside my window is a winter wonderland. It is -6, sunny and the wind is 24 kilometers, the afternoon temperature will be about -4, that's not bad for Canada. The first thing, I did this morning was to pick my stone of the day, and it is BELIEVE, oh yes, I believe, trust, accept, I believe in me. Then, I selected my gem of the day, it is a Black Jasper. Black stones entrap negative energy, like stress in life. Promote dreams, visions, journeys, and imagination, courage and honesty. I checked my Gypsy Wisdom Card - #4, THE KEYS "A key opens doors" There are 3 keys, a white one that represents the door to success in life, and a black key, represents doors to prized things, and a golden key that opens all doors. What secrets lay beyond the doors? We must take the risk! Then I picked an inspiration card, JOY. Oh delight, happiness, rapture and bliss in all things in life. "joie de vivre" My meditation goal was to connect with my inner self. To see myself in the mirror of my mind. Nothing is permanent, fixed, or solid in life, and that includes thoughts, they move and flow. Do not judge your thoughts, let them come to you, see them and let them dissolve. Just let your mind flow. I did this for 20 minutes and kept getting visions of cameras, like the three cameras I have collecting dust. I saw myself taking photographs, printing them, showing and sharing. Must do! But, I looked in my dream dictionary and it said dreaming about a camera was a warning . . . be cautious it said about giving any confidences of a personal nature . . oh yes, I am so guilty of this, I am an open book. Then, I picked a quote for today, and it was by William Butler Yeats. "I carry the sun in a golden cup, The moon in a silver bag." From his poem, Those Dancing Days are Gone, Refrain. I really like that. I felt like a bible quote, so I opened my bible and my eyes fell to Psalm 35:18 in my Bible Dictionary "The Lord is Near the broken-hearted, and saves the crushed in spirit." I checked that Psalm in my Grandma's Bible handed down, 1611 "The Lord is nigh unto them that are of a broken heart; and saveth such as be of a contrite spirit." So, I felt like another so I opened up the bible and found this . . . Daniel 12 "... none of the wicked shall understand; but those who are wise shall understand . . . go your way till the end; and you shall rest, and shall stand in your allotted place at the end of the days." To finish my reverie, I sang and danced to the song "Happy" by Pharrel Williams, from his DVD, Girl about three times. "clap your hands if you feel like a room without a roof" and I do. __________________________ September 12, 2016 Poetry/Free Verse/Journal Entry, September 12, 2016 Copyright Protected, ID 12-8566-21-0 All Rights Reserved.
