Poem
I can’t take a perfect picture when I’m frowning oh so happily I can’t hold the weight of the world on my right hand…my right hand… I can’t float above the ground when gravity takes a hold of me I can’t say ‘can’t’ anymore…too many can’t’s; can’t you understand? You’re the light of the sun that barely shines in my room today You’re like the waves of the sea that changes so much day by day Home is in your heart from the start – don’t have to shed tears Don’t lose hope or you’ll tear apart – be overwhelmed by cheers You are breaking up the silence by your constant talking… Hardly any filter on your tongue on this crazy night You are scattering beads on the floor with your walking… Hardly on a clean slate anymore, but that’s alright Whatever happened to self-control and patience these days? Has it faded away into nothingness? Is it still worth it? I know the answer is ‘yes’ all along as we depart on our ways I think of all this in my train of thought with a bit of wit I keep thinking of the lovely times when I was happier… I keep sinking super fast in the bottom of sea’s sorrowful floor… I keep winking at the idea of letting it all go for now… I keep swinging into the old habits over and over again somehow… I keep swiping away the sweat from my aching brow… I keep walking on fire to save your life – that’s what I’d die for… I keep drinking in the horrid regrets of the past year… Remorse won’t take my hope away…I won’t let it make me numb! Your first impression is just as important as your actions, dear The worse is yet to come someday…but the best is soon to come! Maybe I’m going insane by every stroke of your charming fear You are breaking in to the house of your unremitting falsehoods Hardly anyone can catch your echoing in these peaks You are roaming on your own in the womb of the hallow woods Hardly any sign of hope you see – only silence speaks I vow that you and I are not alone because God is always looking after you I vow that you and I are not too late for forgiveness through and through Home is in your shimmering soul as a whole – don’t let the wind blow it away Don’t lose hope in these times of tribulation or your High Spirits will stray You can take a satisfying vacation from the corrupted society around you You can leave the world behind with me by your side and I will stay true You can be a feather, swaying spontaneously in liberty’s captivity You can forget about the limitations of constant can’t’s eternally
