The Mail Man 

Outside in the dark of desolation there is a hero that shines through
 Scattered clouds block the vision of a driver delivering things
 A service man of sorts living from pay check to pay check
 A kind gentle friend with whom you have grown to depend
 With letters that need to go it's the sorted evening flow
 Mark the one willing to explore hence the opened door
 They carry there mail in hand to deliver in frightening situations
 They may need a rest on a long awaited vacation
 Just look inside your mail carriers frame their not insane some people claim
 Getting mobbed by dogs that hustle there deliveries
 Yelled at by old ladies who live in the city
 The mail man has a unique job in which they have chosen
 To cruise around in their little love bug perhaps is the solution
 What a time they have sorting the letters it's a crying shame
 There always in a hurry so what is the big worry
 Traveling in the back roads under cover wearing blue
 Perhaps they have bitten off far more then they could chew
 The mail man is a sensitive kind of dude who is always in the mood
 For tall tales or stories on the job in such a hurry
 Let's thank God we have such a daily friend with whom you can depend
