What use is a secret if it’s existence is unknown? Why struggle to keep it if none strives to see it told? A secret draws its power from the populace it eludes, So, let me tell a tale that no soul has yet construed. There lives a fair maiden with black hair and rosy cheeks, Hidden in a land beyond horizons with beauty ‘nriched, Her name is mere myth, she’s that ‘lady in the meadow’, She's like an enchantress whose love spell waxes strong. She means no harm to they that find her isle, She only seeks to know the divine meaning of life, Sadly, her beauty is worth more than precious gold, And so, chivalry falls, like lightning, for her soul. Refrain from her face 'nd her sweet 'kiss of death', It strikes like a viper with fangs of great finesse, Puncturing your 'reason' down to the heart's core, Creating a love-sick zombie, a staved man with no cause. Beware her brown eyes for they are the worst of them all, Brown pearls of destruction that trap a man’s soul, One gaze's enough to ev'n steal hearts of ice, There’s no way to escape, beware her beautiful eyes. How do I know of this, many of you might ask, I know for I fell into her beauty's love trap, But, fortunately, she spared me on a solemn dark night, And now I've been knighted as the ‘Accursed White Knight.' What use is a secret if it makes no sense? What power has a secret that no soul has ever heard? Understand my secret of this black and purple dame, But be warned, no human has ever decoded her name. - written on November 30th, 2016.
