Poem
Why, even if Earth suffers tremors Even if fault lines appear here and there Shaking us, jolting us to wake up to our own reality We only care to see the beauty of life We only care to see to our selfish desires We only care to impregnate our selves with more mundane gains So as to please our ego So as to feel content and up to the level Pray, life stands on fragile grounds Any time, a fault line can crack Move and shatter our lives Break us down and cause us to realize our dummy positions Dummies we are, puppets, ruling not our own lives Rather, living we are, submissive to life the way it is Living though, as if we master it But living and taking the time to be thankful To the little joys that life bestows on us To the warmth we enjoy in our beings To the smiles we are able to share with the world To everything that make our lives worth living To everything, in fact, that cause us to want to live more Or to live again, after our demise Why, life is so beautiful, when played it is, on an acoustic piano Life, is so beautiful, when sung it is, as an opera Life, yet, more beautiful it is, when it is made into poetry Yes, poetry, strong enough to make us forget That life stands on fragile grounds That anytime, anywhere, the fault lines may cause a quake And break our dreams, tear down our airy castles And will us to wage with life, daily battles Yes, life and its fault lines, mysterious forces, powerful rulers of our selves To them we do have no option other than to bow down to!
