Daughter of Okello
Bright like a lather of the unknown in the forest
Her sound thunders in my heart like cannon
My hands are dark with charcoal like the tire of mkokoteni

Charcoal has dirtied my hand that you no longer love
My palms are dark because of you; I wash them but remain darker than soot
My palms are dull for struggling to marry you
