Living With A Myth

How dares one to speak of disability and live with it to tell the story narrate 
                      the hardship soft embrace of active vibrant vital being ‘other’ different 
or maybe special true from the heart and soul not euphemistically disguised
                       disfigured white washed like a smouldered lie in reeking smoke screen
of helpless claims to unprecedented superiority the dent of festering hierarchy

~ We are unique the lot of us and special with needs and individual
                   idiosyncracies not to be periphrased thus distorted but real and truthful ~

Mike takes his stride and strife through life and living with changing moods
                     from deepest grooves and cracks fragmented resigned to blackest voids
to high elation hypomanic grandeur exuberant cloud seven when longing for a 
        stabile smooth figure of eight in balance of the cycling cumbersome constrictions 
with the joys and freedom of just being fine and worthy good enough
                            he drops down rapidly in instant free fall and vegetates for months

~ Mike as a basic premise of existence lives in a relationship 
                                                                        with Mike his essence and the Self ~

Michelle also has divergent moods not quick from highest mountains to the 
          abyss in a minute for long but up and down or low and high within a flash back 
beyond afar in rapid oscillations forward backward polar opposites
           and sometimes all of those unsynchronized but concomitant in all the different
times and places all in one not paralleled yet in detached conflicting stances

~ Michelle also lives in disruptive union disassociated kinship with Michelle ~

She hears and listens has voices by the bucket load they sing and dance they 
                    argue augment each other dispute refute and hardly ever agree but join
the chorus teasing tempting her to follow the brightest screaming paintings on 
      the wall seducing her shouting in angst and anger of so many breaking shattered 
pieces in earnest serious secluded fragmentations of mind and soul and solitude

~ Michelle is wonderful kind and a great companion full of talent and of love ~

Mike is same many times in the mental wheel chair spinning in quick motion
       and slow arrest constrained in the corset of his thoughts and squeezing feelings
challenged by the Self world future wishing his demise or simply silence with no
    more accusations afflictions scourging menace self torture yet at the cutting edge
of lightness he motions words bright rational emotions configures dreams


~ Mike is a good man a lover thinker synthesizer of the symphony inside and out ~

~  Michelle and Mike at times in individual pain encounter bliss live magic happiness ~ 

                                              ~ Together ~

Disabled as by normalizing definition they are and even more so distressed distressing
               dysfunctional but by what standard of normality of average arrogance
are they not very able just different in their perception chastised by the definitions
    of society that tapes bandages that measures madness lunacy bedlam insanity from
projected ignorance in need of labels stigma to hide their demons and deficiencies


Who dares to project disablement or handicaps demarcate alleged wrongness and
  calls disease what is simply different only because they’re not at ease with their own
faults and defects when judging their fellow travelers with handy smirching blemish

 
      ~ Mike lives with a disabled person so does Michelle and good a life it is ~

      ~ Three relationships in one and theirs are healthy normal diverse content ~

  ~~ And yet they have to contend with all the others who may be the crazy ones ~~

    Mike and Michelle are not disabled but they are of rich diverse and different ability

                                    
                                     Its bold and daunted but audacious
                                living with a somewhat other abled person
