Mommy and daddy, it is me The little girl you chose to conceive Deciding that I would mess up your life My innocent blood paid the price I am sorry that I burdened your heart From your womb I was pulled apart I never meant to bring you harm Just to be held in your arms I wasn't to mess up your future plans My little fingers were ripped from my hands My mommy and daddy, I wanted to meet Instead from my legs, were torn my feet The pain was more than I could endure My life was a problem, my death was the cure Each leg was ripped from my tiny hip As the blood drained from my little lips The pressure unbearable, I was sucked from inside As my existence from the world, you wanted to hide Piece by piece, I was sucked into a hose As the blood from my body freely flowed My eyes came out one by one Determined that I was not to be born My ears torn and my head crushed From my body, my soul rushed I am now watching from above As the doctor removes his mask and gloves Piece by piece I am thrown away Among the trash my body lays I forgive you, I promise I do I want you to know, I love you I wanted to live, but you chose I die Now with Jesus, I am flying high I think of all that I could have become If only life's race I could have run A ballerina, a dancer, or a model A teacher, a doctor, or a lawyer A missionary, a seeker of souls A friend in times needing consoled A bride, a wife and a mother A lending hand in helping others If only my life could be foretold I would be there as you grow old A daughter never to leave your side Sharing in tears as they are cried To hold you tight in good times and bad Bringing you joy, never to be sad I wanted so much to be in your life But all you could see was trouble and strife I will always be watching for you Hoping you will watch for me too We can see each other again If you will make me part of your plan Don't give up on me, it's not too late For Heaven to arrange a special date The streets of gold, we will dance God is giving us one last chance I will be waiting by the crystal sea Praying one day, you will come looking for me Jesus is the only way to where I am Through the blood of the sacrificial lamb I have forgiven you and God will too Through the blood of Jesus, life is anew I love you so much, I pray you see We were always meant to be Written by: Donetta Harless Sunday, August 14, 2016
