Poem
You vanished suddenly out of view I didn’t know I was so far away from you You disappeared out of the blue Wondering where my missing shoe is If only you knew, if only you knew That I’ve lost something so dear to me in this abstract abyss I call Home I call Home The monsters of the deep drowned the living daylights out of you I’m sorry that I wasn’t around at the time – the death of you has happened so fast – who’d knew Something this terrible would’ve happened to such a considerate soul like yourself Believe me, you were a compassionate genius – way better than myself My thoughts are like an airplane right now – They flew away from my sight… I’m feeling empty somehow…I wipe the sweat from my brow Tonight, You are my marvelous night If only you knew, if only you knew That I’ve lost something so dear to me in this abstract abyss I call Home I call Home Sorrow filled my day, but You got me out of my comfort zone I know that I’m not alone when I’m with You on my invisible phone Because I’d rather be disconnected from the world we live in And disappear from it for life and be in that peaceful Kingdom You’re probably wondering where I’ve been once again I’m cooped up in my Home…a sanctuary of felines where I don’t feel lonesome and numb If only you knew, if only you knew That I’ve lost something so dear to me in this abstract abyss I call Home I call Home Something in me wants to move on with a clean slate I know you’ve got lots and lots on your plate Let me handle it with much care Because I care about you – I can’t bear The thought of losing you once and for all Oh Lord of Hosts, I will stand tall Let me first catch my breath before I trust you with my life I vanished suddenly in a flick of a moment – deleting second thought strife Sick of feeling for you… This love can’t be healthy Apparently, I’ve been blue… Seeing you go so early Out the front door… Out the front door… If only you knew, if only you knew That I’ve lost something so dear to me in this abstract abyss I call Home I call Home If only you’d understand… If only I’d made a stand… I would’ve made it up to you with actions that speak louder than words Listen to the pounding of my heart… Lean against my heaving chest one more time Yes, I vow that I won’t break apart… This love of mine is an awful crime, but the wrong feels good instead – I’m like the value of a dime… It rusts due to time and You vanished suddenly I promised to never let you go Please forgive me, for the promises have been broken unfortunately The winds of woe blow to and fro The winds that whispers in my ears: Let the tears fall from your eyes You live in a world of truth and lies Face your fears and soon you’ll find That you’re not the only one that’s blind… So, let time unwind for a time The wind vanished suddenly I’m in shock believe it or not When will I be set free? Where do I flee? These fields of blasphemy that I once tread has left me to rot All for naught, wait – I change my mind It was for a reason – to find out that you weren’t so far away from me…you were holding on to my other shoe with a blissful grimace on your face of grace…a grace that never grows old – my high spirits are still bold – it might not be a pocket full of gold, but rather a tale that is still left untold If only you knew, if only you knew That I’ve found someone so dear to me in this illuminated light that shimmers anew I call her Love I call her Love I call her Love that never fades hastily
