Poem
Sound the shrieking alarm A red flag has been abruptly raised A sign of surrender dipped in the dying essence of a cracked open skull Demanding blood spilt in the form of vengeance, in the form of dominance The enemy stands as porcelain statues Perfect in stature, presentation decorated in brilliant armor with a glorious title Yet in contrast, their opponent: the people they deem to be heartless animals Brutes, savages illuminating darkly in the bleached blood of past porcelain statues In their eyes, they deserved to be severed from the world Making the sun’s rays seep through slower and slower as the days pass Is it possible to see, to sense how the war will forever commence? Is it possible to see, to sense how better skilled, better prepared the animals are Can they really be called animals or are they demi-gods who refuse to be taken down Demi-gods who refuse to see the life drained from them By the very demons which set them upon the path they command for themselves No, the blood dripping from their veins prove only one thing: human They are human, all of them; men and women united United under tyranny to eradicate the very thing they despise throughout a single land Once enslaved, they grown fed up; they’ve had enough of seeing others suffer the same fate A Thracian, the war began with one Thracian A wife stolen and slaughtered Forged his hand to wield a sword to cry for death to all who shall take a man’s joy for petty control A Thracian, the war began with one Thracian who secretly wishes for it all to cease The senseless killings, the pointless fighting, the passing of numerous brothers But it will never until Rome has been welcomed with a siege Sieged, broken, and burned at the stake shall Rome be taken at all full force One by one, the beams seem to fall… Until there is only one standing tall and proud enough….to finally end it all
