Just sit down, let me talk
On second thought, stand up
This is going to sound much better
if we go outside and talk under the tree
where we once carved our history into its trunk
There's some things I need to say
one of them being 'I'm sorry'
Unknown to myself and you
I'm sorry for seeing the other side of you
the darker side of you
deceiving and untruthful since now I'm spiraling downward
Yeah our history, our memories said
well whispered the truth
I can make it without you
well whispered to me
even among the lies shared
with those fake tears given
those fake tears wasn't that of my own
It must've been yours
I put all I had into what we were getting ourselves wrapped in
And at the brink of falling apart
I tried my best to keep this from crumbling with me
throwing it away for somebody else
crying my eyes out
to the slightest news of losing you
Yet to my dismay and my surprise
all you had to say
was it was your goal to be heartless
so was it also your goal for me to be heartless with you
What was the point of you wanting to start
to start with me
promising me marriage when my hopes were too high
I'm now a serious wreck of a proud man
If you couldn't see when I was breaking down
I shielded my eyes and myself from a classic meltdown
Please tell me why
What was your reason
for sending me into this
