Impossible dreams that give rise to miracles do happen in real life,
How else can one explain  as riotous celebrations burst into life,
There in Leicester City when her football team confirmed their supremacy,
With a final 3-1 rout of their latest opponent from the illustrious Everton city,
This win is a mere formality, just an icing to top off a dream season,
All the fans at King Power Stadium were there full of emotional anticipation,
It was a carnival atmosphere to mark the fairy ending to a football season,
For the Foxes are now the deserving champions of a highly competitive season!

They have been regularly a reasonably good team propping up the League table,
In fact, they were struggling as relegation threatened, being down in the table,
At the start of this impossible season, there was some enormous scandal,
Amidst disciplinary and harsh decisions, there came managerial changes,
Some key players and personnel were sent packing in these exchanges,
The unabiquous arrival of the Italian Claudio Ranieri as a foreign coach,
Was relatively low keyed and none forsee the Godfather in this football coach,
Quietly this coach made some astute changes that ignited a growing self belief,
As the Foxes slowly and determinedly started winning matches steadily.

In this final match in a carnival like atmosphere, Leicester players were all over,
They overran, outfought and outclassed the Everton team like a steamroller,
At the final whistle, the continuous thunderous roar was nothing unusual,
For the fan support had been visibly growing all through this football season,
The football greats of the past were in full attendance for the presentation,
When the coveted trophy was presented and held aloft by the Captain,
Many were the accolades, from the PFA Player of the Year in Riyad Mahrez,
To the much acclaimed  FWA Footballer Of The Year Award in Jamie Vardy,
And the massive 80 points amassed by Leicester team over 37 games,
All serve to impress how incredible this success story has been.

All hail the latest Premier League Champion in the  Leicester City team,
Engineered by the Tinkerman, coach Raneiri, Leicester lives the dream,
Their success is about A Trophy Earned Not Bought using modest means,
All it took was some momentous decisions to bring about much needed changes,
That gave birth to an impossible dream even as growing self belief escalated,
After 132 years of anonymity, Leicester FC is finally Premier League Champions!
Dreams happen in Leicester City!
