Poem
"it happens just because we need to want, and to be wanted too...when love is here or gone to lie down in the darkness and...listen to the warm." - Rod McKuen I feel it deep in my soul; the warmth of our love. When we met, two lonely hearts, became one ... sad, it was not forever.... Nevermore, will I feel your sweet lips upon mine, nevermore will I feel your sweet embrace. You lie down in the darkness, now my dear, yet I love you still. My tears fall on your tomb, oh can you feel the warmth of my sad heart? In dreams, I call you, come my love, I want to hold you to my heart tonight and feel you caress my raven hair. Whisper how much you love me, I need to hear your voice, that deep melodic warmth till dawn, then fly away love. I need to travel that long winding road to your tomb, I want to be with you although you are gone, passion is warm still. This is a love eternal, oh wait for me, darling, one day we will be united at those heavenly gates, wait for me. I still recall that day we first met ...I was...dizzy Your smile and voice held me hostage... I lay my cheek upon your tomb and my soul is bleeding from my forever scar. I asked you, please don't go, stay home with me, we could have stayed sweetly tangled in the sheets. You laughed at me and walked out into a snowstorm, In my dream, I heard the crash and metal crumbling, and I knew. Come darling, the moon is high in the sky tonight and I need to see your face and feel your embrace. The warmth of your breath, and I want your sweet kiss. I need to be with you until the dawn calls you back into the darkness ... my dear. ...forever is the warmth of our love~ _______________________________ April 19, 2016 Poetry/Prose/Listen to the Warmth Copyright Protected, ID 16-780-484-0 All Rights Reserved.
