This merry go around is slowing down.
I’m slowly losing breath.
Chasing you round and round in circles.
Ending up in the same place.

I don’t know what you want me to do really.
Did you expect me to keep at this forever.
Please my heart can’t take anymore.
My feet can’t carry me around anymore.

I break down more than I can count.
I smile but it isn’t real.
I laugh but it isn’t real either.
I can be read like a book but hide so much.

How can you not tell that I’m down on my knees.
I die every time you tell me that you love someone else.
I die every time that you leave me in the dark.
I die every time your smile isn’t because of me.

This Tom & Jerry relationship we have going on.
It breaks me down.
Like a blow to the head.
Like getting the life sucked out of me.

It hurts because all I can do is smile.
Smile and cheer you on.
As you go through life.
This merry go round is slowing me down.

My heart can’t take it.
So tell me what you’re going to choose.
Should I stay or go?
Cause I’m tired of this merry go round.
