What do you think of poetry? What you think of poetry? I mean, when you write, to you think of me? Not me as me I mean to say. But do you think, of yourself, on that day? Are you hero, brave and bold? Or the one forlorn of what is told? As you sit at your desk at night. Do you think of yourself, am I right? If I was a hero I would be bold. Like Smarty in my books. Just be told. I don’t want to be like a dog I mean. Just a fit, fast mean, fighting machine. Oh! You don’t believe what I do say. Look to the future now today. As Smarty the future 2061. Is a real fast mean, fighting one. But you may not be like me. As sad romantic prose I see. I really do not know what to say. As sadness, is not for me today. No, I’m awake and I’m alive. And through my life I like to thrive. No sad, sob verse can I write. I’ll be happy, through day and night. I’m sitting in my Caravelle. Clarence and he does not smell. I cleaned him out the other day. So he is nice and clean, I say. Now weathers dull and I’m away. As am having an exciting day. Attending a talk at our library. And guess what? The talk is free. I heard the adverts on the radio. The one who struck me off their Facebook page, you know. My advertising they liked not. No doubt thought I was a clot. As every time I typed my dog’s name. Smarty the one, soon of much fame. The following appeared on the screen. Smarty search and rescue dog, & Smarty the future 2061. I guess radio thought that not much fun. As hitching a ride on their Facebook page. Must have sent them in a rage. As one Sunday, I was struck off their page. Smarty and the futuristic one. Have their own page now which they share. And if I write something it upon. Honest neither of them do care. So occasionally I do write on there. As they don’t mind and I don’t care. The talk which was in the library. Of which I said, was quite free. Was to advertise what we did do. As other writers were there it’s true. Get yourself known was what we were told. Use every avenue and be bold. And that’s just what’s I am now doing. Hope you do not find it boring. Be your hero or heroine. Express yourself in rhyming prose. And who knows, one day, your name will be known. Throughout this world, which is our home. I wrote the above after attending a talk about how to advertise yourself. Nothing is of course easy. The obstacle that was common was no new writer could acquire a literary agent as all were not taking on any new writers. Strange or what?
