The Untold story of a Sitar 2 of 3 . Although Time had not forgotten To leave its immortal impressions On this unique piece of hand work Where The winds of change Had blown without forgetting to rub It’s hot and cold brushes To gradually vanish everything Which falls In the hands of time. 08 . While I was trying to understand What that name ‘Tan’ Was silently trying to tell to me- The first meaning That came to my mind Was the Hindi word “Taan” or Tan Which means A Tune, a song, a melody, Or a zeal and a mania Which fills our life with the passion To live and love. . Then ‘Tan’ gradually turned into a color Which make the human life More beautiful, lovely and adorable While adding The layers and beauty of the Rainbow So that we can see and watch The varying beauty of body and moods Through the shining beams of Of different colors Which makes new variations and shades As per the thinking of the Poet and Artist. . These colors can also be seen hidden Like a treasure In the amazing layers of a Rainbow And in the Poetic lore's Of all those great poets and writers Whom we read and adore As our role model. 09 It has been given As the loftiest gift of God To every artist and musicians To every poet, writers and singers Or I can say to every human In general Provided they use it with a pious heart. 10 Only then these colors began to show its shines When beauty began to embrace The arms of truth And music comes out In every song and poem Soothing the hearts Of all those Who are in grief and sad. 11 . And later on I found That ‘Tan’ also means God A word which we feel More in our heart and soul Than to define it Through the logics of mind Which has inspired The human hearts Through unseen and unknown ages Filling it with the joy of life Which creates The brightest ideas and emotions To make our mind and soul Feeling like singing and dancing Overwhelmed by the beauty And effect Of this very name of God Which we breathe, love and Adore in our hearts. 12 . My thoughts were trying to tell That Perhaps it could be The name of a girl Who was an exceptional musician Who used to charm The world of that era When things and people Were totally different And life and love used to be so simple To explore, to offer and share it In those smaller gatherings Where people used to meet, To share and to sing The joys and sorrows of their hearts And to listen to others While they play A Sitar, a flute or a Piano. 13 . Or a Spanish Guitar While singing Songs Unlike the solitary heart of Ruth Who used to sing? In her own aloofness Without anyone to hear The cries of her heart While wandering among the flowers and plants And talking to them As if they were her best soul mates. 14 ... to continue Ravindra Kanpur India 14th April 2016
