Poem
The Monk Poet Anjali De Nandi ( Mom ) The Monk lived in a hut in a village It was the last part of the village Side of it - there was a river His age - was 65 years ; the oldage He was a Bengali sage On his upper body , there was no cover . The lower portion was covered by a cotton cloth On his Head's top - there was a hair - cabbage He cultivated on the field - the cabbage . He had great attention about the cabbage's growth. One day it was a "Makorsankraanti's" dawn "Morning star" was on the sky Fog covered the village Water was flowing He took bath on the waves Birds were arising Life was his own Very alone But it was unknown Why the death ? Why ? And why he was born ? From diseases , who could save . The sun was slowly rising The time was flowing and flowing Just like the waves Also the very cool air was blowing A snake came there from the cave It took place in the cottage It's blowers were the waves From it's head , glittered the rays A jewel was in the middle of it's head The hermit returned after bathing He entered in his hut ; said "Om Om Om " He watched the snake and said "Are you staying here , now ? Where was your home ? How did you reach here ? How ? Now , I just complete my bathing ! And Try to meditate on "Om Om Om ! Yes ! you also try with me ! See the nature ! Please see ! How spiritual it is ! Let us ! We make a bridge - In between almighty and us ! Oh ! So great is the universe ! " Then the snake said , "Kindly ! Take my gem from old weak head ! Free me ! please ! Oh ! you are the greatest ! Free me !" The sage watched - the snake was too old ! He told "I have to need ! Oh ! Dear !" The snake broke down with tear ! He requested , "My last time is very near ! Give me peace by taking it !! Want rest - my heart beat ! In past i lived in the Himalaya's cave Only for you I come here !"
