You see us walking down the street, 
but we never meet.
You look at us and see what you want to. 
Taking time out of your day is too difficult,
so we go on with our lives,
Living behind a stereotype disguise.

A “try-hard,”
Who are they really?
They get the best grades
and succeed in all their escapades,
but inside they cry.
Their homes may be broken
and all they have to live for, 
is walking through that school door.
Their feelings are unspoken,
all alone they live not cared for.

A young girl, 
a sick girl-
She’s clinically depressed.
