Poem
Shadow my visitor. It was just an hour before midnight, When a shadow walked into my room, I know it was a shadow because the door was locked. I heard the sound of footsteps, walking towards my bed, I had never been so scared. I kept still and did not want to move, I heard the sound of paper being shredded. I was too scared to check what was going on, I tried as much as possible to limit any form of movement. After some time, the sound stopped, It felt like the shadow had vanished, Well at least that’s what I thought. Two hours later, I heard a sound of a falling glass, The shadow was still there, and still, I was too scared to try and figure out what was happening. I waited till the morning when there was light, Then I woke up to find out what had happened at night. On the floor were three broken pieces of my mirror, How could this be possible? My mirror was heavily glued to the wall, I thought it was impossible for it to just fall. Next to the pieces of the mirror were pieces of paper I picked them up; I couldn’t believe what I saw. It was a paper where I had written to mirrors and reflections, And it read; “Mirrors and reflections, Show her a true identity of herself. It is perfection she wants to see. A show stopper she wants to be. Turning heads everywhere she goes Reflections around her, Is she the fairest of them all? Reflections can’t you tell her everything? Mirror mirror does not seem to know it all Pardon me mirror, but you don’t know who the fairest of them all is. Fairness comes from the heart, You did not show her a reflection of that.” I guess shadow looked in the mirror, I guess shadow saw her true self, I bet she did not like it a bit. Now I see I was wrong, Mirror mirrior knows it all. The reflection of her true self is seen in the dark Where she has no one to please.
