LOVE LIKE OF OLD Waiting for this hours to come wasn’t easy But the long hours make me feel dizzy Can’t wait for this hours to pass Cos I can’t see what I want at last Sitting beside each other like lovers Yet my heart was just too far and it hovers I recalled what loving my friends was like I recalled the moments I waited in anticipation Waiting for my friend to come around Finishing my assignment on time Preparing all my stories Recalling all daddy promised Reminding mom of what she promised I’ve got stories to tell my friend when she comes I need to show her my room paints My new pairs of shoes i have got to show The green lawn must feel our feet We must run like we running from the rain We must hold hands in the garden We must prune the flowers together We must make granpa laugh once again For that he’s always wanted to see I want to help her clean the dust off her feet Want to find her behind the walls when I seek Want to see that giggle in her eyes when she screams Let’s build the house of sands Let me call you olori and I your kabiyesi Wanna tell you Stories of toitoise and the dog The lion and the stupid monkey Can I still keep my candies till evening so that I can share with you Can I still tell mom to take me to your house Can you still refuse your lunch cos you wanna visit me Can we still love like of old Can we stop looking for where to catch fun And create one for ourselves like of old Can we sing for and to each other Without looking for the best DJ in town Can we still run the lawn and be happy Without going to the expensive amusement parks Can I still tell you those stories Without looking for the best cinema in town Can you till keep your candies for me Without asking me for gifts in return Can we still play and make the elders smile Without making them angry and cursing our generation Love me like of old Hold me like of old Wait for me like you did Look at me like you did then Lemme recall how mom told me to wave tu you Lemme be still in mood as you leave Lemme be eager to be with you everyday And not once every year. Lemme be filled with satisfaction Without having raved in between your legs Lemme do more of starving for you And not strafing you Just love me like of old So that we ll never feel we are now old Let’s leave our story to load And tell our stories till we close ( FM CONCEPTUAL)
