Poem

My Mother was a woman, my Father was a man
it didn't take a court to rule, for it was in Gods plan
Nothing's ever perfect, mistakes are sometimes made
that doesn't mean you change the world, try pulling down the shade

Not easy to identify, don't know it right from birth
no need to measure anything, we do still share the earth
Now we don't breed in public, nor advertise our wares
we don't push it "in your face", we know that someone cares

To us it's not important, if you don't like our ways
we're not going to block the steet, or protest many days
So what if you, don't like or follow, what's written in "the book"
we don't try to shout you down, cause you're not on the "hook"

We won't shut your bakery down, or close your fast food chain
just think you ought to "bake" your own, or "deep fry" what is plain 
It doesn't matter what you are, your preference or your grace
there's lots of room for all of us, we are the Human race.....
