You asked for a change now you´ve got it!!!

I promise that the next four years will bring prosperity to all,
it will be the best years of our life!!

I am going to improve the education system, improve standard of living for the poor, create jobs for everyone.

(short time later)

I would like to announce today...

that my predecessor 

has left us in a sorry state...

The financial situation is not good

I was not aware of these factors when I made all those promises.

Therefore...

there will be a gradual implementation of our iniciatives.


And some of our promises.. we will have to postpone to an undetermined future date.

I knew it!!

Hope there won´t be a tax increase now!!

Oh Oh!! here it comes!

So we are examining the possibilities of using more revenue tools...

No, there will be no new taxes!!

However there will be user fees!!

Fees aren´t taxes?

No, fees are not taxes!!

I really care about the middle class!!

My hands are tied... my predecessor left us...

We will all have to tighten our belts a little bit!!

No, actually we need to reinforce the public sector.

That means your are giving yourselves a raise?

Not really, it´s a capital infusion to offset the cost of living.

So the increase will be 1% for cost of living?

No 3-5% over time

It´s undetermined at this time, but will be a gradual increase.

Who pays for this increase?

I care about the middle class!!

So the wealthy class will pay for this increase?

No, the wealthy class needs a tax break as they are the ones who create jobs!

So let me understand...there are more billionaires every year right?

Yes

And so then there are more jobs every year then as a consequence of this prosperity?

Not necessarily, it takes time, it´s a gradual process...

We need to support the poor!!

Who will pay for their subsidies?

I care about the middle class!!

How are you planning to help?

Raising the minimum wage to $15 an hour.

Won´t that increase prices?

We expect the business community to support our iniciatives and not pass on their increased costs.

Businesses will probably have to restructure their business model to compete.

Restructure, so that means lost jobs?

We don´t think so.

So how do the poor really get ahead?

It´s a gradual process. Trust me all of us will benefit from this newfound prosperity!!

So will we see this prosperity in the next 4 years?

No, I will need a 2nd term to finish what I´ve started.

We need to retrain the population so all can have better jobs!!

Who will pay for this?

I care about the middle class!

So then the government will create jobs by hiring people to train people for jobs that don´t exist?

Exactly!!

I thought you said it was the wealthy that create the jobs?

We work together.

So the middle clas will have to pay for this skills training?
