Poem

Trapped in a maze
I have walked for ages,
A world, devoid of light...
I entered this world in fancy,
I regret, I do cry for help;
Who's there? Only darkness.

Ages and ages have passed
And yet I walk on to find
That light that can light up my soul...
Terrible, terrible is this world,
Where even shadows lose to despair
No life, just walk along the dark path.

I want to find the sun
But how without a moon?
The eclipse here is eternal...
Blinded by the eerie dark
I am here, frantic to find
A way to escape and exit.

Is this tunnel infinite in length?
Who knows? It seems a million nights
Have passed away in eternal silence...
I scream and yell and choke my voice
No answer, but only an echo,
Assuring me, there are more who stand this fate.

It'd be better if I was stabbed
I'd not mind as much as this
At least I would have rested in peace...
Desolate and dark, eternal silence
Prevails here, gives no peace to my mind
My soul cries in vain, there is no light.

Fate is like this, trapped in a maze
A maze that is dark and has no exit
As far as one moves, farther he is from the end...
Walk and run, scream for some help
No one is there to change your fate,
Never will this end, peace won't come.

Is this Hell? All vague thoughts come up
And cloud up the mind, and one asks
What is my sin? Why am I here?
And one runs and runs and runs and runs
And runs till the end, to see in vain
His journey has started...never would this void end.
