Poem
Walking alone in the woods, thinking of yesterday, listening to the wind comb the trees The shuffle is slight and the time not hurried, I’ll crack a smile or sigh as a moment of memory might I indulge, Please Gentle as that breeze the fingers of age caressed my soul as the leaves turned brown and gold Never in yesterday did I ever think time would follow so fast and take my tomorrow and make me old Dancing down the path celebrating the Fall of remembrance , these moments of today are to remind me of what was youth Fresh and green everything was in the music of Spring, love, passion, excitement, even in losing a tooth Satisfied in being myself, as inevitable as being alone, should you be so lucky to still be alive and well It’s as if to say I’ve lived and live to remember such happiness in all I knew, trying to catch a moment as if my story it could tell What was yesterday had meaning, what was it all for ?.... lmao it was for LIFE, the seconds that came and went All the things I loved so, mean really nothing compared to the people I love, that my friends were God’s Blessing sent Saying goodbye became a habit, by conflict of growth or death of mature souls, for feelings change like a leaf Winter comes and the earth covets the seed of past, I’ve wasted nothing and as for myself I breathed my belief ….. Tuning over the world I occupied to the new blossoms of the future, hoping you can enjoy today Because as sure as we are, sure as time is, You too will pass along this way I so pray your mind will be filled with enough joy to push through any pain or dirt that holds back that seed Because in the end that something that was only yesterday, might be just the thing that we need I will be forever thankful that I lived to that last grain of sand I pray will fall into Gods hand……………
