Poem
Far and away, I sat upon those ethereal elusive, rocky cliffs, at the edge of eternity. Upon observing the scene before me, I could see dark wretched towers with rigid spikes, jutting toward the heavens, underneath a tempestuous sky. From it's devilish heights, this ominous castle of darkness loomed, a large monstrosity, as it's reckless shadows tried in vain to overtake it's nemesis. For under it, I beheld a smaller castle that shone like a beacon in it's golden gleam a priceless jewel in it's resplendent brilliance. These dwellings stood; two great, diabolical forces, emanating from the universe waging an eternal battle, warring between the powers of light and darkness, good and evil. A great beam of light from the heavens shone upon the smaller castle, it's pure rays bathed in glory, while black and brooding clouds surrounded it, like menacing storms of vengeance. Yet the darkness can never overtake the light. Below this great war of conflict and adversity lay desolate and barren lowlands, stark and lifeless. It's suffocating stillness is devoid of hope or comfort. No living being would ever desire to be mercilessly abandoned to that hellish existence alone. While staring in quiet, chilling contemplation I began to understand more of the meaning of this supernatural event. For it became clear to me that I was witnessing a grand sight of epic proportions. Even though I could not see those that battled together within this realm, I was aware that the conflict was between the angelic hosts above and the demonic forces below. As I began to discern these things behold, a Holy Light blinded my eyes. And falling down, I beheld the One who sits upon the Throne above. Then His Voice came flowing forth, like the voice of many thunderous waters, saying "I will Overcome." And afterwards, I went away rejoicing, filled with inexpressible peace. Written on 11/14/2015
