I have my favorite 
Vintage designer watch
I wear it everywhere
It has not worked for many years
But it is right for me   
Twice a day 

I glance at it from time to time 
To see if the hands of time may lurk 
You see 
I have a faith in god 
And pray 
That everything will work 

On you stupid no good 
Outdated watch 
Move your hands of hands
A little
To the right in perfect time 
Or am I just a jerk

I pray to him
That he shall move 
The stopped hands of time 
So they can move with the seconds, minutes, and hours.
Days, weeks and months in rhyme
Over the many future years

And during these periods
Of time 
He fills them 
With blocks of life 
Made up good and bad times
Composed of laughs and tears 

I pray to a god
Who made the hands 
Of my watch 
Stop in time
While continuing to move the many activities of life
Continuously throughout the years

Without 
A purpose, reason, or doubt
Without even a thought 
To make a miracle 
Like move
A watchmaker’s miracle of sort

I watch my vintage designer watch
From morning, noon to night 
Waiting and waiting for a sign 
That he will make it 
And me 
All right
