Poem
Behind the walls are cries of our daughters and sons Most teenagers are hiding their pain through their smiles The sound of rain gives them an opportunity to scream So that God may hear their cries Hoping for God's hand to give them a help All hope seems lost, but keep the faith The devil seems to torment them each day While most cement their feelings due to hopelessness The pain breaks a soul, divides the mind and confuses the heart What's love when your heart is harden? Your guilt kills you as your burden takes you to the ground We ain't meant to judge cause we have our inquites Voice of the voiceless, maybe I speak on behalf of an individual Screams are heard yet most ignore the cries of many made by heart Our society, can you hold the hands of the leaders of tomorrow Am saying no to rape to all genders Because both men and women are raped on daily basis Imagine the pain that a heart holds onto yet breaking a soul. Have to say that what challenges we face Let's share our troubles, since others can't face their reflection Suicidal Ideations filling ones mind Questioning their worth in this world, Drowning their sorrows with alcohol. Knocking on Heavens' door yet walking on hell's path They asking God why they living yet their treated inhuman Damn, the pain grows stronger and happiness is gained through alcohol and drugs When will this pain and suffering come to an end. For those who are in this situation Know that you ain't alone in the struggle Always be strong, and look for a friend who won't judge But accept you the way you are Stars can be seen through the darkness Don't lose hope my brother, my sister Voice for the voiceless, hope you have heard their cries.
