Poem
To endure, the ragged edge, of the sharpened blade of Ignorance, and tolerate the Stinging words of prejudice or malice’s intent! Do not they, the a shunned walk away standing tall, proud Shoulders back heads held high, from the crowd of their Accusers, whom have no evidence against them, Behold the strength of endurance with each step forward! Within the darkening world of silence, the deafening man, Struggles to survive and yields to the strangers open hand, Seeing in fears lit corner, the light of hope and understanding, To except limitations momentary lapse, yet now knowing He’s not alone, he’ll thrill in the strides of the future, And thus endure! The patriotic soldier fights on his nation’s behalf when called upon, Yet it is a war of politics not honor, for which he thus sheds his Dearest blood, but poor Johnny American shall not surrender His countries pride nor gun, he’ll take that distant hill of victory, no Matter the cost of life or limb, for he is a son of the U.S.A. And endurance’s runs through our very veins of freedom! In a world of plenty, the hungry child screams within the night Of blind ambience, unable to stand, crippled by the echoing Voice of silences deafened ears, yet in the wake of tragedy Hopes eyes smile in the flickering candlelight of darkness, It is the angel volunteer whom carry’s the milk of human Kindness, and the bread of humanity, thou to endure! As the block hand of the abuser is restrained by justice, A child of innocence emerges from their hiding place of Sanctuary, to feel the sunrays of peace at last, to walk Amongst world of the loving, and dream of a brighter Future ahead, behold the new generation, to endure Breaking the cycle, and choosing a better path to life! At point of no recovering from the pains inflicted, the human Soul begs for releases final judgement to take them, yet the True cure of time and faith may sustain them beyond this point Of no return, is it not true that prayer is God’s personal e-mail Address, to endure until the cure maybe found, can it really hurt To believe in something that thee cannot see? What does it mean to endure, to concur the obstacles placed Before you, with courage’s strength never to lose hope, To stand your ground with prides understanding in faith, And by ignoring intolerance cling to thy brethren’s side, Sharing the heavy burden of life together as a species, With these building blocks of the future, then we shall Truly know what the words of endurance mean, And comprehend!
