Seems like only yesterday that I've looked into your eyes, 
But it is now today, though my mind lets known its denies. 
I remember how much I was excited to see you again, 
Even though I remember so well, I realize how long it's been.

Your embrace warmed me when I came out of the cold night, 
Even after all this time my tears continue their willful fight. 
The memories of how we felt for each other, that family love. 
Now I know, even though you're gone, you watch over me from above.

In my dreams, I can sometimes hear the words to me you speak, 
Though when I awaken from my slumber, I realize without you I'm weak. 
I know my life would be much more worth living if you were still alive. 
I want to let all the pain go, but I can't, no matter how much I strive.

Your accident took you away from me, it keeps me contemplating. 
My feelings wonder if you still would have living, they keep dominating.
What am I to do in these hard times?  Please give me that strong will.
Each night I say a silent prayer, hoping you’re watching over me still.

I sometimes find myself standing alone in the twilight of my own despair, 
Or so I thought, but you always stood by my side, you were always there. 
Deep down, through all my suffering, I know you will always be with me. 
I have to wait to see you again, but I'll make you proud, time is the key.
