Mind wanders, body stills, my pen will write.
The known world disappears in silence.
Thoughts flow like a taunt string on a kite,
Leaving distance to control compliance.
Light and dark words render hidden shadows,
As a poem starts to form from nothing.
Black replaces the empty page and grows,
And a theme will come from my choosing.
It's there my poem reveals itself to you,
With words trying to please your seeking mind.
As each line written down is sped through,
Is the final verdict kind or unkind?
