Poem
In the valley I'm down on my haunches with the tall grass whispering around me, enveloped like I was wrapped in a blanket I listen to the mournful dirges of my scattered brothers and sisters filling the skies with their lost ones. Then from off in the distance I pick up a sound, it almost feels like a scent and as more and more of it reaches towards me tickling my ears I see it drifting down from the mountain. The pull is as if I had picked up the scent of some prey after not eating for days, almost overwhelming and I am loping towards it before I had even realized I'd moved. As I gain more height The notes form into words of emotion, essence, of the very fabric of creation driving me to move faster bounding from rocky crag to rocky crag all the time my brain being teased by this song Rolling into my ears. I slow as I approach a ledge, and as I crest it the captivation takes full affect, I can't even feel the ground beneath my feet as I'm drawn towards this spherical glowing cave. Approaching the mouth just within I see all these beings, human and creatures alike, entranced by this aria being created and woven by this presence For she was not just there she was all, the very thing beauty was inspired by. I take up a spot right outside watching musical notes in hues of blues, reds, and purples dance around the ceiling of the cave like carefree fairies, illustrating the sorrow, love, and happiness that has me in a state of transcendence. The words burrow into my flesh, infusing themselves just under my skin and my body feels lighter, healing old scars long forgotten. I force myself to look down, to look at this queen of songs and when I peer into those brown, almost caramel pools of her eyes it's as If I am looking at an old friend I never met. Her song spirals down to the end echoing off the surrounding mountains cascading away and everything seems to be casting its own glow of beauty. This divine mistress of melody starts walking towards the mouth of the cave and her mesmerized crowd parts as if pushed to either side by large hands. She is walking towards me and I know I must speak to her so I get up, take a few steps back, transforming into something more friendly and say "hello" and as we converse I can tell she still sees the wolf in my eyes and she smiles. Inspired by Rhiannon Catalyst singer, songstress, vox
