Poem
From the flood we emerged, formed from the shiniest pearls of the deepest oysters... In the ancient void, when the world was only sea and earth, without any inkling of civilization yet to be in place, oysters existed beneath the waves, which moved only due to Her breath. The Goddess scooped up a single oyster of the sea with Her mighty paw, and a single toe stroked the oyster's shell so comfortingly that it purred and opened for Her Majesty. Within this oyster, as all oysters these days, lay a little pearl. And yet this pearl, unlike the ones you know, of ivory, no... This pearl was shinier than the others, and a beautiful pale blue hue rested gently upon the tiny sphere. The oyster's happiness of the Goddess' tenderness changed the color. She leaned Her head in close, whispering soft, sacred words almost forgotten. The pearl leapt out of its home in such joy and snuggled against Her face, nuzzling Her like a child to its mother. The Goddess closed one paw over the other to provide a new oyster-like home for it. After several moments, She slowly pulled Her paws apart and within the pearl had taken on a larger, distorted form. But the Goddess had not meant for distortion as She did a transformation. For it was no longer spherical, instead a small creature. The Aknu were born from this single pearl, made beautiful from the simplest element beneath the sea.
