Poem
She fakes a smile Then turns away Silent tears fall down her face As words of hate fill her ears The voices of loved ones, Friends, and people she just met. create scars on her heart New scars appear every day Nobody cares what she does She doesn't even have a say She wants something to be heard? She has to fight to be heard And still, she can't say a word And she listens to others And hears all these things That they are saying And sometimes She doesn't act right away But she knows Actions speak louder than words So eventually she'll do as she's told She tries sharing what she's learned With her family But they're either too busy Or they don't care what she has to say She feels like her feelings don't matter to anyone She struggles to find herself She doesn't feel comfortable When called a Male or a Female Doesn't know where she fits in Not comfortable in her own skin Again nobody will listen what she says doesn't matter. All she wants is to be a normal teen But she'll never be normal She doesn't even know What the definition of normal is Just sitting in a corner moping For reasons she cannot say If she tries to explain Why she does what she does or Says what she says She'll be judged If she writes a poem She's called “self-centered” Because most of her poems Are about herself and her feelings But that's how she's dealing With her life! She can't tell people anything They won't listen they won't understand They'll think her ideas are non realistic But they're as realistic as anything And she knows everything she does Is what she thinks is right Yet she only listens to what others think Because she wants to please everyone Even though she knows she can't. She says something that she sincerely means She takes time to say something correctly Then she treated like she is a burden She'll eventually go insane because People have to remind her To do things And she says she will do That task Maybe not right away But she'll do them that same day. She sings and likes sharing stories Feeling respected And that glory Then someone, Doesn't matter who Brings her down Instead of a smile She wears a frown You ask why she talks about All the things shares about It’s because she wants to heard She wants to tell people it's okay To be different! But who cares right... Everything ends with a fight And still she is not heard. Silent tears fall down her face And still nobody can understand Why she hurts inside Even though she tells them why every day.
