Poem
Thus the day started with the norm, children playing in the storm Feelings so hungry, hunger galore, a pain that never goes away that I do not adore Crying in such a way that seem to stay That my caretakers seem to think that children are fakers So they feel that they can steal and give to takers As a child that hunger with life of thunder comes tears of fright that wonders Feeling so hungry, hunger galore, a pain that never goes away that I do not adore A night comes with array of delusions and decay Comes a slow heart beat of despair Mouth watering for some nutrient Not physical but emotional touch of care Time past, years past, I have to be strong What I wonder is what feelings I had was wrong I finally had the touch of my own two brothers That touch a remembrance of my kin, that is not a sin Feeling so hungry, hunger galore, a pain that never goes away that I do not adore With smiles of joy and bright wide grins, a slobber off my chin Comes hugs and care that I long for to stare A physical light that warmth my heart I had hope that never, never, ever depart Shunned by my country with many ethics Comes a truth, wars that chase Shows force with brute also cut roots Lies and voices crumble though to start a new Flight that takes us out of danger comes a feeling of insecure With nothing to do, a lady in uniform had gave something to eat But past reminders come despair, and forces memories to glare I put a bones in a napkin to preserve it for my new home across the ocean bare Feeling so hungry, hunger galore, a pain that never goes away that I do not adore I had never seen so much clean, a way of life that was a dream Several stops came all about, so confused But with my two brothers came smiling Was a sign that bare the truth We were here in a new land to us it seemed but those who stood in was motionless and out of steam Till we saw our adopted parents smiling with a gleam My brothers greeted the new shadows that was tall and skew Feelings so hungry, hunger galore, a pain that never goes away that I do not adore No fear of pain, no sorrow that stain, No grief or hate came A little light in my eyes that showed so much happiness came without a dare I lifted my hand up to give my present the chicken bone wrapped in napkin Gave it to the next best thing to a kin is my new parents with a grin With feelings so complete not hungry, no hunger galore, this pain has gone Is left behind and went away, this I adore
