Death of Tom Horn Adventurer

Tramping across wide open countryside
Looking for perfect place so I can hide
Free man I once was and used to be
Now everyone has been searching for me.

A henchman, big bandit and robber all
Who accepted adventure's carefree call
At fourteen furiously away form home ran
Knowing I now had become a mighty man.

Practiced shootin' until perfect all day long
And soon became both quick and strong
Setting out with gun strapped to my side
Headed to town I where I started to ride.

Slowly started walking up to a brash bar
And there I saw a bright shining star
Now in my site will be dead by tonight
I'll gun him down with sheer delight

There he was walking down the street
Will shot and send bullet for him to meet
Quickly could tell he fell to the ground
After my pistol's loud, crashing sound.

When I tried getting get away was too late
My death here now I will quietly await
One rider less horse was seen set free
His silhouette hangs silently from a tree.
