An Angel In Disguise Where is the moon during the dark hour? It only comes when the darkness is over. Only the moon was there for me in my darkest night. Many claimed to be my sunshine, but you are the one who is my moonlight. In my darkest night when everybody ran away, you were the only one that stayed by my side, and when the storm was over they started coming, that was when I realized why they chose to be the sun instead of the moon. Don’t look for sun, it only comes when the storm is over, but ask for the moon, it stays even in your darkest night when the sun gives up on you. Where the sun grows weak, it remains strong for you. Where the sun fades, it shines brighter. Where the sun frowns, it smiles on you. Where the sun gets angry, it laughs with you. Where the sun gives up, it tries harder. Where the sun runs away, it stays by your side. Where the sun complains, it encourages you. Where the sun shines harsh, it shines mild. When I was so tired and in deep sleep, you stayed awake for me because you fully understand what I am passing through. The darker the night, the brighter you shine. Even when it seems that the night is taking so long to dawn, you did not complain or get tired of keeping me company. Even when the stars refuse to go further with me due to the distance of the night journey, and cunningly disappear in the darkness, you remain strong for me. When the sun is shining in its strength, it hurts the skin, but when the moon shines in its strength, it rejoices the heart. When tomorrow sees too far, you made me close my eyes in the stormy night to dream of the paradise. You mark the season of life, and that makes you able to know when one is in the season of sorrow to keep him company till the storm is over. Your friendly nature makes the stars to always gather around you. You show the darkness the way to light, and lead the stars in the pathway of life. Desire sun, but pray for moon because when the power of the sun fails, the strength of the moon will always be there for you in your darkest night. I promise never to lose the moon while counting the stars. My love, you are an angel in disguise. A moon in the dark. Precious beyond words. Excellent beyond choice. Wonderful beyond measure and beautiful beyond imagination. The paragon of pulchritude, and the true definition of beauty. At the sight of your beauty the birds composed love song. You are the reason why the flowers wave to the passing wind. My blue sky that smiles on the sunny day. You are the reason why the moon laughs at darkness. You beauty makes the stars to rejoice over the deep. You are the rainbow that chases the rain away. Your pretty smile gives the stars reason to gather around the moon, you are the reason why stars celebrate the moon. The lyrics in my love song. In the winter you keep my body warm. In the summer you keep it cool. In the cold you cover it with the blanket of your love. In tears you keep my eyes dry. In the dark you take my hand and lead me on. In the rain you are my umbrella. In the storm you are my sunrise. In the music you are my lyrics. In the sleep you are my dream. At frown you are my smile. You may have the bodily shape of a woman but you are an angel in disguise sent from above to make my day brighter. THE END Azuka Chinonso Igwegbe.
